Chief Exorcist says Devil in in Vatican

Never exponent of the finer intellectual qualities the human mind is capable of, the Church is at it once again.

He added that the assault on Pope Benedict XVI on Christmas Eve by a mentally unstable woman and the sex abuse scandals which have engulfed the Church in the US, Ireland, Germany and other countries, were proof that the Anti-Christ was waging a war against the Holy See.”

Never having admitted the utility of either empiricism or logic, the church now claims that the sex scandals that have plagued the Vatican are “proof” of the existence of the Devil.

Of course, the only thing proven by the predatory behavior that the Vatican induces in their members is the fact that when authority cannot be questioned, it inevitably results in aberrant and criminal behavior.

Now consider this.

The sex scandals that have been reported have come to light predominantly in the West where there are social, legal and political mechanisms that, albeit reluctantly in the case of the Church, allow abuse to be reported and prosecuted.

Now consider the development efforts the Church is making in  third world and developing countries where governments are barely functioning and, even if they are, abuse or human rights are not really a priority. Now spare a thought for all the souls that have been and are being abused by all manner of church servants roaming freely in these countries.

Abstinence makes the church grow fondlers (anonymous)

  1. David W. Lincoln Says:

When it comes to governments in the third world, or developing world, they tend to be on the same level as the mafia. So, just like the Western part of the Roman Empire after the collapse of Rome, what other authority figure is around? Namely the church.

When it comes to those who have un-natural fondness for children, they were introduced after straight people concluded that what is timelessly true simply isn’t what potential members want.

Well, to the modernizers, I pose this question: How is it that truth does not need acceptance by anyone to be true?

Don’t worry, I’m not like the Sphinx just outside of Thebes that swallows
people whole if they give a wrong answer. (At least, I think it was the sphinx outside of Thebes that was finally bested by Oedipus).
