Sex and the little man

The world as we know it is crumbling around us. Our governments, our leaders and the power elite have been caught  red handed whilst they lie, pillage, plunder and ransack our countries and the countries of others and some people still find time to have their nose bent out of shape by sex.

The sex trade is only tawdry because it is illegal. Make it legal, tax it, clean it up and in one fell swoop take a chunk out of the illegal trade in people operated by criminal gangs.

Consensual sex is good. Consensual sex expands your horizons. Consensual sex is relaxing and exciting. Consensual sex is refreshing.

But for vestiges of archaic beliefs in perceptions of morality perpetuated by social power structures and grounded in nothing more than deliberate selfish ignorance, sex is what all humans do. Much too often they do it alone by the way. What a waste.

guido, there is such a thing as convention, because not everyone is the same. For proof, I offer this from “To Kill a mockingbird”:Thomas Jefferson once said that all men are created equal, a phrase that the government is fond of hurling at us. There is a tendency in this year of grace, 1935, for certain people to use that phrase out of context, to satisfy all conditions. We know that all men are not created equal in the sense that some people would have us believe. Some people are smarter than others, some people have more opportunity because they are born with it, some men have more money than others, and some people are more gifted than others. But there is one way in this country in which all men are created equal. An institution that makes a pauper the equal of a Rockefeller, the ignorant man the equal of any president, and the stupid man the equal of Einstein. That institution is the court. But a court is only as sound as its jury, and the jury is only as sound as the men who make it up.

So, given the lack of evidence that everyone is equally gifted, protections of those less gifted have to be in place. Which leads us to one standard for all.

The sex trade is not about “consenual” sex. It is about coerced sex, idiot. If the women used in prostitution were choosing sex with the johns, ie, if it were mutual sex, it would not be bought sex. The johns are buying sex from women who do not want to have sex with them, but who do want to money to survive. Those who use prostituted women and girls are essentially rapists.

Okay, Guido, answer me this: to what extent is a person definable? As for consensual sex, do you promote polygamy? Where is the equality in that, because the females are expected to be monogamous, but the husband isn’t?

Why not take a look at Jacques Maritain, and what he had to say about the oldest face of history.
